For more than two decades Patrick has blended photography with other communications skills to assist his clients in telling their story. Patrick specializes in industrial and environmental landscapes, aerial and documentary style photography. A winding journey from the west coast of Oaxaca state lead him to the Oaxaca valley and repeated visits have rooted an affection for the people and their homeland deep in his heart.
Mauro Pérez Cruz

Mauro was born in San Felipe del Agua. From his grandfather Mauro received knowledge in the art and science of traditional agriculture and his close relationship with the land. He blends his trade of electrician with his peasant labour, and his work as guide of the treasures of his birthplace..  

 

 

 

Blanca Cue

Blanca was raised in Mexico City. Her interest in the social and political transformations of her country took her into journalism and a career as press correspondent. In search of an authentic Mexican reality, she came to Oaxaca in 2002. For her very good fortune, she was welcomed with generosity and solidarity by the people of San Felipe del Agua.

 

 

Andy Keith
Project support, on-site liason

He was raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. An avid outdoorsman, he has canoed and kayaked many of the lakes and rivers of the US and Canada and he has published a book on his travels. His love for nature and his admiration and respect for the community life of San Felipe del Agua, made this traveller puts his roots down in this land.

Jeremiah is a British Columbia based photographer and designer who specializes in documentary story telling. For the milpa project he brings his decade of experience to the post production and web work.

Brenda Armstrong
Line production, project management

Brenda has more than twenty years experience as a researcher, line producer and editor. The milpa project is a natural extension of her love for the Oaxaca valley and her interest in textiles, ceramics and xoloitzcuintle (the hairless canines of Mexico).
